Let Them See Him in You!

In today’s world, the word Christian can sometimes lose its true meaning—not because Christ has changed, but because how we reflect Him has.

Being a Christian isn’t just about the label we wear, the church we attend, or the scriptures we quote.

Rather; It’s about how we live, how we love, and how we show up in the everyday moments.

To be a Christian is to reflect Jesus—in our words, actions, and attitudes. It means caring for the sick, comforting the brokenhearted, defending the vulnerable, and loving those who are often overlooked.

It’s being kind not only when it’s convenient, but especially when it costs us something.

Mother Teresa once said, “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.”

That is the heart of Jesus in action. Every encounter we have is a chance to show His love, His kindness, and His grace.

I was reminded of this recently when I spoke to a client who shared a painful experience: someone who claimed to be a Christian mocked her disabilities.

My heart ached. It’s moments like these that reveal how far we can drift from Christ’s example if we’re not intentional.

We must ask ourselves—do people feel seen, valued, and uplifted after they’ve been in our presence?

Jesus calls us to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13–16)—to preserve what is good and to shine in the darkness.

But as C.S. Lewis so beautifully reminds us: “Don’t shine so others can see you. Shine so that through you, others can see Him.”

Our actions should not bring glory to ourselves, but point others to the One we follow.

The story of the Good Samaritan shows us what true love looks like: compassion that crosses boundaries, costs something, and goes the extra mile.

That’s the kind of love Jesus calls us to embody.

He also made it plain in Matthew 25:40:

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

If we say we follow Him, let’s live like it.

Let our faith not just be something we speak, but something we do. Let it be seen in how we treat others—in the grocery store, on social media, in our homes, and in our workplaces.

Let it be known by our patience, our gentleness, our grace....

Our world is longing for authentic love. If we, as His followers, don't reflect His heart, then who will?

Let’s challenge ourselves to love louder, shine brighter, and live deeper.

One act of kindness, one word of encouragement, one step of compassion can be the light someone desperately needs.

Let them see Him in US.

Best

Angela
